just a quick note to let you know how our first conferences went. for those of you who don't know, one of the things zachary asked us to do is a couple of two-day conferences. ron is training businessmen on how to run a business with integrity, and i am training worship leaders on the concept of worship. we've just finished the one in nairobi, and we'll be doing our other one next week in the town of nakuru - about 100 miles northwest of nairobi.
i just want to say that ron and i aren't preachers, but God calls the weak to show Himself strong. it is so evident that many people are praying because the only thing i can say about these eight sessions (four for ron, four for me) is that they were heavily annointed. as a word of testimony, when i walked up for sessions one and three (the first session of each day), i felt nervous and VERY inadequate, but as soon as i started to speak, that's when the annointing came. it was so evident that God took over, because there's no way i can do what He did during those conferences. ron and i walked into our room tonight, and we just said, "no one can say that God wasn't all over that place today." that's what happens when people pray! thank you so much!
we're actually gonna get to sleep a little tonight. it's only 11:00 p.m. and we're about to go to bed, and we don't have to leave until 9:00 a.m. i just wanted to ask you guys to keep praying. tomorrow we'll be ministering to the "great lakes leaders" - a group of war-torn people from rwanda, congo, and burundi. sunday, i will preach at the first service of zachary's church, and ron will preach at the second service. we have plans for sunday afternoon (can't remember right now) then at 7:00 p.m. we will be coming live to country bible church! we're so excited about that because we so much want you to meet our precious team here.
we love each of you, and thank you SO MUCH for your prayers. and matt, there's no way you could eat here dude! didn't i just tell you i ate goat heart? you'd lose 80 pounds!

80 pounds?!? Count me in for next year!
Wow i really wish i could go to an exotic place like Africa too bad my parents wont let me and...Goat Heart?
was it cooked or raw..ewww
What wonderful things to hear - annointed is not a common phrase here in the states - we're probably desensitized to God's power because it is so evident everywhere we seem to miss it. The song I will be singing for a ladies luncheon today says, "You are why I find pleasure in the simple things in life....." I'm not sure we actually know and understand totally the 'simple' things in life. Where you are Clark, they probably understand that.
Don and I continue to pray - I will have to say that yesterday I let go of you somewhat and gave you to God, if you know what I mean - I'd been doing the mama thing and now I pray and know He is greater than I to guard and guide you - He must be the one to "word" your mouth and let every meditation be acceptable in His sight because He is your Lord and Redeemer.
It may be that you and Ron experienced a little of what Isaiah did when he saw the "Lord high and lifted up" huh?
I continue to pray for the Harvest. I love you much - Mama
The power of prayer is an amazing thing and just know our prayers are with you and Ron everyday.
p.s Goat Heart - Get the recipe! [Johnny] Bring it to the next community group dinner.

Hey, what do you think about going on Oprah? She's really into Africa and it could only help spread the REAL good news. Not the Hollywood version, feel-good message she is always pushing. Maybe she'll hear about you and invite you on! Glad to hear your stomachs are faring well. I'm right with Matt---I don't think I'd be eating much. Great weight loss plan. I am glad to hear that God is taking over when your mouths are opened. He's really the one they need to hear. Remember our Compassion child---Lucy Njoki. I know there's no way you could find her but God can do anything! She lives in a rural farming community about 50 miles east of Embu which looks like it's north of Nairobi. She attends the Cieria Child Development Center. I know you don't have time to visit, but if it falls in your path, tell her we love her! She was 9 years old March 30--Samuel's birthday. We pray that you will remain safe, healthy, and listening to God. Bridget and Pat are fine. Bridget left yesterday for Kentucky and we will miss her much. Pat is a busy bee! Meals on Wheels and her many other activities. We miss you both and look forward to seeing you soon.
